● Samsung SDS Shocks Market with AI Agent Overhaul – 68 Cost Plunge
Samsung SDS: Exploring Innovation and Practical Application Strategies for AI Agent Business
Announcement and Product Upgrade Progress (Jamsil Campus, 26th)
Samsung SDS announced at a media day held on the 26th at its Jamsil Campus that it has advanced its product lineup, including the generative AI platform ‘FabriX,’ along with ‘Brity Copilot’ and ‘Brity Automation,’ into AI agents.
FabriX, already utilized by over 130,000 users across more than 70 internal client companies, has now been upgraded to a ‘practice-specific’ personal AI agent, highlighting a strategy to further strengthen its competitiveness in AI and AI-related technologies.
This process particularly includes an automatic code conversion feature for outdated software via a coding agent, demonstrating excellent efficiency in transitioning existing systems to modern programming languages.
Financial Sector Application Cases and Cost Reduction Achievements
The ‘Code Conversion Agent’ feature for financial companies was introduced as a prime example.
It achieved a 98.8% success rate in converting old system code to new languages, resulting in approximately 68% development cost savings compared to traditional manual conversions.
As such, coding technology combining AI and generative AI is playing a significant role in innovatively improving existing software renewal issues and expanding the practical applicability of AI technology.
Advanced Technology Integration and Public Service Expansion
Samsung SDS plans to integrate enterprise ‘DeepResearch’ and Model Context Protocol (MCP) into FabriX to reflect the latest technological trends.
Furthermore, ‘Public Sector FabriX,’ a dedicated service for the public sector, is under development targeting a September launch, which is expected to greatly assist in the renewal of outdated systems for government agencies and public institutions.
Song Hae-gu, Head of the Solutions Business Division, emphasized that AI agents focused on performing narrow tasks will minimize AI hallucinations or error issues, thereby providing more reliable services.
Future Developments and Strategic Investment Trends
Moving forward, Samsung SDS plans to progressively expand the application of personal agent features to its collaboration solution ‘Brity Copilot’ and task automation solution ‘Brity Automation.’
Various AI services will be added, including a ‘Briefing Agent’ for analyzing business data, a ‘Curating Agent’ for recommending necessary materials, a voice-supported ‘Voice Agent,’ and an ‘Answering Agent’ for automated responses to business inquiries.
Furthermore, by discussing additional investments and collaborations after the announcement of bid guidelines for participation in the National AI Computing Center project, Samsung SDS will continue to expand its market leadership based on innovative AI technology, generative AI, and coding technology.
