Semicon Korea 2025: CNT & Automation Revolution
*Trump Ukraine War: Forced Ceasefire & Profit

  1. Introduction to SEMICON Korea 2025 Exhibition

At SEMICON Korea 2025, I was able to directly experience the latest technologies and products related to semiconductors.
Various semiconductor components and automation equipment were on display at the site, and the competition in technological prowess could be seen through the booth locations and crowds.
At the site, intensive explanations were given on CNT (Carbon Nanotube)-based new materials and high transmittance technology.

  1. Application of CNT Technology and Capping (Capping Control) Technology
CNT technology has the advantages of high transmittance and mechanical strength, but it has the problem that it can be manufactured thinly and its lifespan can be shortened.
To compensate for this, CNT protection capping technology was applied to introduce a method to maintain CNT transmittance at 94~96% while ensuring durability.
The client requires a transmittance of 92% or higher and expects superior performance compared to metal silicon.

  2. Technology Strategy for Optimizing High Transmittance and Lifespan
The higher the transmittance, the higher the efficiency of the product, but we faced the problem that the lifespan could be weakened.
For this reason, precise capping thickness control and CNT material protection technology were discussed as important issues.
Technical improvements are continuously being made to balance product transmittance and lifespan.

  3. Development of Hybrid Bonding Equipment and Automation Equipment

Recently, hybrid bonding equipment has been receiving great attention in semiconductor packaging processes.
The equipment is designed to enable fast and precise bonding in chip and wafer bonding processes.
Detailed technologies such as side panel reinforcement to minimize vibration and data platform integration were introduced.
In particular, the production of automation equipment tailored to customer requirements by applying chiller minimization and slimmer technology was emphasized.

  1. Application Examples of High-Performance Robots and Automation Technology
At the exhibition, a robot manipulator mounted on an AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) was introduced.
This robot secured both the speed and precision of industrial robots with QR code recognition for position correction and precise calibration functions.
Although it has a similar appearance to collaborative robots, it maximizes efficiency in automation processes by applying powerful control performance of industrial robots and lightweight module technology.

  2. Back-End Process Equipment and Environmental/ESG Response Technology
Equipment for recovering metal ions in waste liquid generated in the semiconductor back-end process was introduced.
This equipment is a technology that considers both environmental issues and resource recycling, and is attracting attention from companies that practice ESG management.
In addition, various back-end process equipment such as test sockets and dicing equipment related to memory modules such as LPDDR and GDDR were also exhibited, confirming technological competitiveness.

  3. Market Trends and Future Outlook

At the exhibition, along with the investment trends of major customers such as Hynix and Samsung, the demand for test sockets related to AI servers, HPC, and HBM remained solid.
The overall semiconductor market showed a stable recovery, and it was possible to predict continuous growth according to technological development and customer equipment requirements.
In particular, technological competition aimed at becoming the global market leader in equipment supply is expected to intensify further, along with the development of new products related to HBM and LPDDR.

< Summary >
At the SEMICON Korea 2025 exhibition, various new technologies related to semiconductors were introduced, including CNT-based new materials, high transmittance/lifespan optimization technology, hybrid bonding and automation equipment, precision robot systems, and back-end environmental response technology.
Each technology is continuously being improved to increase the efficiency and precision of semiconductor manufacturing processes, and future growth prospects are positively evaluated based on major customer investments and global market competitiveness.

■ President Trump's Strategy for Ending the War and Monetizing International Politics

President Trump views the situation in the Ukraine war as a matter of money and profit.
It is analyzed that ending the war is ultimately focused on America's interests, that is, economic gains.
In this process, he intends a structure to recalculate and recoup the amount of aid provided to Ukraine.
The Trumpist perspective of converting everything into money is the core of this war termination strategy.

■ Promotion of Ceasefires and Forced Peace Agreements

President Trump is focused on quickly ending the war rather than military victory or defeat.
He expresses his intention to forcibly bring about a ceasefire in the Ukraine war and lead peace agreements in a way that Ukraine does not want.
Emphasizing the interests between Europe and the United States, America is trying to distance itself from the Ukraine war and pass the responsibility to Europe.
Ultimately, the strategy suggests that a cessation of combat and a forced ceasefire are the most realistic ways to end the war.

■ Conflict Structure Between Ukraine and President Zelensky

President Zelensky is struggling with internal problems such as wartime elections, even though he is in the midst of war.
As the Ukrainian people's support has waned due to dissatisfaction and fatigue over ending the war, a sense of frustration rather than continuation of the war is prevailing.
The Zelensky regime relies on international support, but it is difficult to sustain the war if foreign aid from the United States, such as weapons supply and information provision, does not continue.
The United States and Europe are gradually putting pressure on the Zelensky government and trying to exploit Ukraine's internal weaknesses to end the war.

■ President Putin's Strategic Victory and Russia's Festive Atmosphere

President Putin is currently gaining an advantage in the progress of the war and cannot hide his smile as he has seized a significant portion of Ukrainian territory.
If he induces a quick end to the war through negotiations with Trump, Putin gains the opportunity to have the occupied territories officially recognized.
Russia believes that it can see great benefits in terms of economy and resource preemption if the war is concluded through a ceasefire agreement.
As a result, major changes are expected in the European security situation, and the international order is likely to be overturned.

■ America's Pursuit of Profit and Ukraine Reconstruction Projects

President Trump plans to gain significant profits from the reconstruction project after the Ukraine war.
There is a prevailing view that he intends to recalculate and recoup the massive amount of aid to Ukraine, which was provided in the form of grants, after the war.
In addition, he is seeking to expand America's interests by preempting potential resources and infrastructure in Ukraine.
America's strategy of capturing both economic and geopolitical advantages is expected to be reflected in the process of ending the war and reconstruction.

■ Cold International Politics and the Issue of Interests, Not Value Conflicts

President Trump's approach interprets the war not as a matter of good and evil but as a matter of interests and economic calculations.
In this process, realistic factors such as money, security, and alliances take precedence, and the international order is likely to be reorganized.
The Ukraine war can be summarized as a cold calculation and competition of interests in modern international politics, rather than a conflict of idealistic values of the past.

■ Reexamination of Historical Background and Division within Ukraine

Ukraine has a history of independence and division, and power struggles by foreign powers since the Soviet era.
From the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917 to the Stalin era, World War II, and subsequent civil wars, it has historically maintained a complex relationship with Russia.
The modern Ukrainian conflict can also be seen as a result of these historical conflicts, nationalism, and the intervention of external forces.
Based on this background, the conflict between the Zelensky regime and the Putin government shows that it is not just a military confrontation but a fundamental historical and ethnic conflict of interests.

< Summary >
President Trump is approaching the Ukraine war from the perspective of money and profit in order to end the war.
He aims to stop the fighting through forced ceasefires and peace agreements, maximizing America's interests and trying to shift the responsibility for the war to Europe.
The Zelensky government is struggling with internal weaknesses and the burden of wartime elections, while President Putin is trying to solidify the foundation for victory by using the occupied territories.
At the same time, the competition for Ukraine's reconstruction project and geopolitical interests suggests a new international order led by the United States.
This war, in which historical background and national sentiments are intricately intertwined, is re-examined not as a simple matter of good and evil, but as a confrontation of cold interests.
